Thank you UWP alumni and friends!

A very generous alumnus offered a Matching Gift Challenge to Up with People in November 2009 in support of the Scholarship Fund.  He would match dollar for dollar every gift we secured in the last weeks of December in response to his challenge up to $100,000.  We emailed as many alumni as we could contact!

200 donors from 16 countries, including 72 making their first gift to Up with People, made gifts totalling almost $100,000.  One more donor gave a gift bringing us over the $100,000 mark!

So, thank you all!  This one initiative brought in more than $200,000 in the last weeks of 2009 all in support of the Scholarship Fund.  Combined with other fundraising efforts, including a gift of $25,000 from the UWPIAA, we are as strong as ever.
