-
An alumni committee representing various eras and regions without ties to any of the applicants or their alumni relatives will determine the scholarship winner based on confirmed eligibility and their best judgment of most deserving recipient. Factors to be considered in the process will be: demonstrated leadership potential and the applicant’s personal statement. If deciding among multiple qualified candidates, we will consult with Up with People Admissions regarding comparative financial need of the qualified candidates and will give preference to candidates with greater need.
-
All applicants will be notified by e-mail as soon as the committee has chosen a scholarship recipient.
In the event that no qualified relative applies for any semester’s scholarship, no scholarship will be awarded that semester and the $500 will go back into UWPIAA’s general operating funds.
