PRIVACY POLICY

Up with People and the Up with People International Alumni Association adhere to the strict guideline that all personal information (name, address, phone number, e-mail address) is private and confidential. This information is never given to anyone outside of UWP or the UWPIAA, and is only used for individual communication of a personal (non-commercial) nature between the UWPIAA, UWP and UWP alumni.

From time to time, the UWPIAA may release contact information to certain people with a legitimate reason for requesting the information, such as cast reps or alumni interested in starting a local chapter or club. Such people must sign a non-disclosure agreement before any information is released to them.

Anyone may register on this website; however only UWP alumni (as defined here) may access the information contained in the Online Directory. Alumni may choose what information to make available to other alumni by logging in and updating their record.

People who were members of local Sing Out groups, while technically not Up with People alumni, may still register on this website and view other Sing Out members’ information, provided they have chosen to make such information public.

Misuse by a user of information available to alumni in the Online Directory may result in the suspension or termination of the user’s account.

FORUM RULES

While we attempt to edit or remove any messages containing inappropriate, sexually oriented, abusive, hateful, slanderous, or threatening material that could be considered invasive of a person's privacy, or which otherwise violate any kind of law, it is impossible for us to guarantee to review every message posted on this discussion system. For this reason you acknowledge that all messages posted on this discussion system express the views and opinions of the original message author and not necessarily the views of UWPIAA. Therefore we take no responsibility and cannot be held liable for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy and completeness of every message.

By posting messages on the forum you agree that you will not post any material that is knowingly false or inaccurate, or that may be perceived to be abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually oriented, threatening or invasive of a person's privacy, or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in the termination of your account, account suspension, or permanent ban of access to these forums and to the Online Directory. Your IP Address is recorded with each post you make on this discussion system and is retrievable by the forum staff if need be. You understand that we have the ability and right to remove, edit, or lock any account or message at any time should we see fit. You also understand that any information you enter on this discussion system is stored in a database, and that "cookies" are stored on your computer to save your login information.
