Reunion 2008 Contests and Suite Auction

Registration Contests/Auctions
Win a Reception or Suite for Your Cast!

RULES:

Contest deadlines are all 11:59 pm Eastern U.S. time on the ending date given for each contest.

Only registered alumni and staff of the original cast will count toward the contest (no spouses, children, etc.).

Percentages will be based on the number of alumni & staff registered under that cast year/letter in the approved cast list submitted by cast reps to their Era Rep by Feb. 15, 2008. In the case that no cast list was submitted, the list in the alumni database will be used.

In the case of a tie, a coin toss will determine the winner.

Cast representative must be registered to attend the reunion in order to win. If they are not able to attend, a replacement may be designated via the Era Representative.

March Madness Contest
Ends: March 31. The cast with the highest percentage of registered, paid attendees by March 31 will win a hosted happy hour at reunion (beverages and appetizers).

The “Suite” Life Contest
Ends: June 30. This contest is between casts within each reunion year (1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998). The cast rep (one winner per reunion year) who gets the highest percentage of their cast registered by June 30, 2008, will win an upgrade to a Master Suite (http://www.westinlapalomaresort.com/accommodations/floor.htm) for the nights of July 24, 25 & 26 at the Westin La Paloma. Cast representative must be registered for reunion and must have a room reserved at the Westin in their name in order to receive the upgrade to a suite. The regular room rate of $99 single/double or $119/triple/quad will be charged. If the cast rep is not able to attend, a replacement may be designated via their Era Rep to be eligible to win the upgrade. Replacements must be designated before the end of the contest, and they must be registered for reunion and have a room reserved at the Westin in their name.

Calling All Cast Members Contest
Ends: July 25. The one cast rep out of ALL attending casts with the highest percentage of original cast and staff registered will win the following:

Recognition at the Era Show

Refund of their reunion registration fee

UWPIAA merchandise gift certificate

Gift of Arizona goodies

Bragging rights for the next five years

Cast representative must be registered to attend the reunion in order to win. A replacement may be designated by the Era Rep.

VIP Suite Auction
This year we will be auctioning off the two huge VIP suites at Westin La Paloma (San Xavier & La Paloma suites). These mega-suites offer the most amazing views and amenities. Live like a “star.” It’s a great place to have a cast meetings/get together etc. The highest bid will get the use of the suite July 24, 25 & 26, 2007.
Rules:
1.   Bid online at www.uwpiaa.org/webshop (you will need to register separately on this site to bid)
2.   Deadline for bids is June 15 at midnight Eastern time (midnight meaning the end of the day on June 15)
3.   Bids must come from individuals or a Cast Rep who will be responsible for making a credit card donation by June 17 if they win
4.   If winner does not claim and pay for room by June 17, the next highest bid may claim the room.
5.   Starting bids $800 / $500 respectively for each suite
